Get symbol metadata

GET /v1/symbols/metadata

Returns company names, logos, market cap, sectors, industry fields, macro indicators, scrip codes, and ISINs when available.

When to use it

Use this endpoint to enrich market data records before display or downstream agent processing.

Authentication and billing

Requires X-API-Key or api_key.
Credit cost: 1 credit / returned item. Bills 1 credit per returned metadata item. Requires Symbols product scope.

Request

This endpoint does not require a request body.

Field	Location	Required	Notes
`symbols`	query	No	Optional comma-separated values such as `RELIANCE,TCS` or repeated query parameters. Maximum 20 symbols.
`scrip_codes`	query	No	Optional comma-separated values such as `500325,532540` or repeated query parameters. Maximum 20 scrip codes.
`api_key`	query	No	Optional alternative to the `X-API-Key` header. Prefer the header for server-side applications.

Response

Returns data as an array of symbol metadata records.
